Integrity Counsel’s Story:

We are professional and honest with clients, opposing lawyers, and courts. We take action to maintain and enhance our solid reputation.

Although we were associates and partners in other firms, we spent the majority of our careers as solo practitioners.

Prior to relocating to Florida, Jeff practiced in Massachusetts for 23 years and Mike practiced in Ohio for 10 years.

We are fathers who moved to Florida for our respective children’s benefits.

A few year ago, we became friends and began to refer work to each other. The compliments and thanks we received caused us to discuss creating a law firm which led to INTEGRITY COUNSEL. Our law firm is built upon a foundation which includes authenticity and integrity.

Our Core Values

Honesty

We tell our clients what they need to know and not only what they want to hear.

Respect

We are courteous and respect other attorneys, parties, and judges.

Dependability

We set expectations in advance and use our best efforts to produce timely and efficient results.

Innovation

Outside the box thinking leads to breakthrough results.

Efficiency

Clients conclude their matters with less time, expense, and drama.

I bring vast legal experience to Integrity Counsel, PA. My experience includes representing real estate developers, property owners, lenders, commercial landlords and tenants in connection with purchasing, selling, financing, permitting, construction, title, leasing, and workouts.

I have counseled and advised numerous start-up companies and businesses and handled significant contract negotiations and dispute resolutions.

In connection with my real estate and business transactional work, I have drafted, reviewed, and negotiated numerous contracts including letters of intent, offers, commercial leases, asset purchase agreements, and loan documents. I am admitted to practice law in Massachusetts and in Florida. I received a BSBA from Boston University School of Management in 1984 and a J.D from the University of Miami School of Law in 1987.

In 2000, I created Asset Recovery & Management Group, LLC, to purchase, manage, and collect distressed receivables and judgments. I continue to advise industry professionals, investors, and clients with distressed debt acquisitions and with collecting debt and recovering money on judgments.

I provide pro bono services and I donate time and money to various charities including the Federation of South Palm Beach County, JAFCO, Eat Better Live Better, the Boca Raton Rotary Club, Boca Helping Hands, the Boating and Beach Bash for People with Disabilities, and West Boca Basketball. In 2018, I created Kess Creates, Inc., a non-profit entity, to raise money for cancer and diabetes research. Kess held its first annual charity bike ride, “Pedal for People”, on March 31, 2019. Our second annual bike ride is set for March 29, 2020. My hobbies include working out, golf, cycling, and community involvement.

I was born and raised in Queens, NY, where I went to college. In 1990, I moved to Dayton, Ohio for law school. In law school, I clerked for several judges. Once in law school, I discovered my passion. I was ready to practice law right after I graduated.

My first jury trial (1 year out of school) was the most complex case I have ever tried. My client received a great verdict. I have tried many different cases ranging from criminal cases, and Plaintiffs’ personal injury cases, to defending insurance companies and business claims.

I moved to South Florida in 2003. Since then, I have represented real estate owners and business owners in amazing, stimulating, and varied disputes. My clients include tax deed investors, shopping center owners, condominium owners, law firms, construction companies, CBD importers, schools, architects, convalescent supply distributors, storage facilities, and others.

I am a unique lawyer. My pledge to clients is “Point A to Point B with less time, drama and expense than anyone else”. I deliver on my pledge. I maintain good relationships with opposing attorneys because it helps me obtain better results. If the other side insists on game playing then we will proceed with litigation. My clients benefit due to my experience and abilities.

I am married, have 2 kids, 3 step kids, and both of my parents live nearby. I have a bunch of siblings and their kids, as well. I am married to Cheryl Van Hare, a physician assistant, who chairs the Boca Raton Walk to End Alzheimers. I am a voracious reader. I do water aerobics every day. I went to culinary school, I have cooked professionally and spend a lot of time in the kitchen. I like to fish. I am still friends with my childhood buddies. I love contributing to my community and people in general. I enjoy life and I am interesting.
